This book seems very heavy, but realistic to the horrors that exist in our society. Whatever the reason, there is no person involved that is without pain. This cover is beautiful, but simple. This I appreciate. A flashy cover would detract from the seriousness of this novel. I am looking forward to this read tremendously, as there has been a school shooting as well as a mall shooting where I live. Luckily, I nor anyone I loved was present at either, but on the day of the mall shooting my sister had called hours before telling me how she was going to be visiting there with my niece to get her pictures taken. Thankfully, something held her back and she was not able to go, but just the thought still haunts me.

Happy Memorial Day everyone! And thank you to all who gave their lives for this country. For all those other people that have passed on that we care about, we miss you dearly. Miss you mom! Ugh. Now I need to wipe the tears (seriously) and show you a cover that makes me crazy. In a good, BLARG way. It pulls me in like I'm entranced by one of those spinney wheels. There isn't even that much -to- the cover, but the little hint of the girl with the closing elevator... I feel like I need to chase her and keep the door from closing. Plus, the blurb about the book. C'mon. I need to read this.
